‘Secret Habit’- I thought this one would be easy! I normally have one coffee a day and drink lots of herbal teas and water. Caffeine is a stimulant to our brains but also our bodies. Drinking excessive caffeine can dehydrate our bodies and affect our energy levels negatively. Strange coming from a drug that’s consumed to give us energy! So why do we do it? For me it was a ritual. My one coffee a day is a silent nod to the peace I get when my youngest is napping, or thankfully my husband has done the Sunday morning get up with the kids. Those times were important to my mental health but I was using that time to indulge in the wrong way. So breaking my habit was harder mentally than physically. What do you use to find peace?
