About Alison Wakely

I’ve been working for Katie Bell Physio since 2019 and in recent years I have come to appreciate how important fitness and nutrition are for one’s general wellbeing. I love meeting and greeting new and old clients while helping them receive a solution to their issues by assigning them to the correct service offered at Katie Bell. Working at Katie Bell Physio is great because of the friendly and helpful staff, the business ethos, and the location.

I have had a varied career so far, ranging from retail management, to pharmaceutical sales and training and latterly as a receptionist in a busy school. The role of being a customer care administrator at Katie Bell Physio is key to creating first impressions for clients and I look forward to assisting members as they arrive and leave their sessions.

I was a retail manager with Laura Ashley for 10 years taught me how to manage staff and customers and offer them a high standard of customer service. I was also a territory business manager with Hoechst pharmaceuticals where I gained confidence in communicating with medics of all grades and reputations.

I am married and have 2 teenage girls. I love playing golf and racket-ball. My other interests also include skiing, cycling, cooking, and festivals.

When I was a child I wanted to be a nurse. Having graduated in geography at Liverpool University I caught a coach to London carrying only a suitcase and the offer of a friend’s sofa for a bed. The next day I found a job at Liberty on Regent Street. A few months later I joined the graduate training scheme at Laura Ashley where I worked for 10 years before joining the pharmaceutical industry. After another five years I left to start a family. My hidden talent is I can cook a mean lamb curry!
